I have been turning a circle like a three legged dog. I have been battling my weight since my first pregnancy. This last Sunday at church our pastor delivered a message about "Sloth", one of the seven deadly sins. In that message he mentioned not taking care of priorities. I am the queen of taking care of everyone and everything so I figured he wasn't talking about me, until he used his recent weight loss as an example. That day I prayed that I would start eating right from that day on. I prayed for God's hand to be upon me as I went through this journey. After church I was determined to start eating right and paying attention to what I was putting in my mouth. I thought I was doing pretty good. I hadn't had a soda or sugary pastry in several days. It wasn't until I threw my McDonald's bag in the trash after "dinner" that I realized I am still so far from my goal. FAILURE!

Out of desperation I went on the internet and found madetocrave.org. That's how I realized my food cravings had built a giant wall between me and God. I have been craving food more than I have been craving my relationship with God. I didn't even realize this was happening. It has been a "slow fade" to my defeat. I worry more about what I am going to eat, am eating, and did eat then my spending time in God's word. It seems to me that God has directed me to my solution...time to recalibrate my soul!

This is a page I thought fit in with the scrap it with a song challenge. I matched it up with the song "Sign" by Ace of Base. I love that song! I remember singing it in the car when I was younger.

I did this page for "Scarp It With a Song", I picked a song on their playlist and built a page around it. It was inspired by Sugarland's "Stuck Like Glue" song. I watched the video and it inspired me to make a "Stalker Page". I wanted to make a page that looked like a stalker made it. We are all packed and ready to leave. Kids are packed and not ready to leave. LOL! I am getting pretty nervous. I always get a terrible nervous stomach before I fly. My stomach is not a "friendly" flyer. LOL! It will be good I just need to breath, in, out, in, out....ooh! I can't wait to actually be in Orlando. I just hate the flying part. I think its a control thing. I can't fly so I HAVE to release the control to the pilot. I have prayed about it and my Father will take care of everything. I am so looking forward to some sun and relaxation. The point of me going with Jeff on this business trip is so I can relax. Life has been more than crazy lately. I have been worrying about everything, school, work, kids, homework, pre-student teaching, and bills. Ugh! I love my husband, he's really great to me. I will post pictures when I get back. Hopefully I will be a shade darker when I get back on Friday.

Today was my first 4th grade class observation. I really had fun. I learned alot. My coordinating teacher is great! I am actually thinking I would like to teach 4th grade. So I would like to teach 2nd-4th grade. I made some cards for my family for Valentine's Day but I didn't get a chance to mail them. OOPS! Deadlines come so quickly.

Well this is the fourth snow day of the school year. I am really tired of snow. I am ready for spring. I have made myself a to do list. Otherwise I will play on the internet all day.
Ok to do....Well I need to finish the curtain for my kitchen....I need to help Jocelyn finish her valentines cards for her friends...My scrap room is a mess again (imagine that.LOL)....Ok then I need work on my laundry that I didn't finish last week. Well now that I think about it that seems like a lot to do so I am going to get off here. I will check in later to let you know if I actually finished my list. Enjoy the snow Wichita.

Super Bowl Sunday

Well it is Sunday. I am making hamburgers and watching the kids argue. I'm heading downstairs to watch the super bowl. GO packers. Ok really I don't have any preference of who wins. I have been on my laptop working on lesson plans. I got my placement so I know where I am going to do my field work this semester. For those of you that don't know I am going to school to be a teacher. I am enrolled in the elementary education program at WSU. I hope to some day have my own classroom. But for now I am studying and learning as much as I can. I will be observing and teaching 5th grade. I am excited and a little scared. I haven't been scraping much this week. But I will find the time soon. That's it for now. Enjoy your Sunday.
